Yesterday we got the ultimate Christmas present straight from up above! Who knew God had such a great present in store for us?? Zeb was offered a full time position at the company he has been interning for all semester and I got peace! Finally!
We decided to go out for dinner last night to celebrate our new beginnings. We had so much fun pondering all of the new goals we could make for next year now that employment is secure. I cannot tell you the weight that has been lifted off of both our shoulders!
We are off to Kansas tomorrow for Christmas! It is sure to be a white one, which makes me smile. Remember all the things you have to be thankful for this holiday season.
Blessings!

The Reason for the Season
Wow! Where has time gone?? This morning as I was waiting to get on the elevator and make my ride up to the 42nd floor I was surrounded by two women. One with presents and another with deviled eggs. Aahh...holidays. It made my heart warm and realize how much I love the hustle and bustle of Christmas. I love the endless supply of treats, the happiness behind gift giving, and the time crunching holiday parties. I love the never ending Christmas music and sparkle and lights. But what I love the most is the profound awareness that I have a sweet Savior and His birth is the reason for the season.
Last weekend Zeb and I visited the Christmas Train in Dry Gulch, USA. It was p-e-r-f-e-c-t. Allow me to paint the picture. Small old western town. Shops filled with unique Christmas gifts and ornaments. A coffee shop filled with the aroma of fresh beans. Hot cocoa and sweet snacks. Carolers walking the streets. Horses and wagon rides. Children waiting anxiously to see Santa. And in the middle of it all is a beautiful Old Steam Locomotive waiting to take visitors around the country and tell the story of Jesus. The amazing story of Jesus. The story of His beautiful birth, graceful life, heart-braking death, and life giving resurrection. This is the reason for the season.
This week is a great time to remember your life that has been saved by the birth of a little baby. My prayer is that His life is at the front of your mind when finishing up your shopping and cooking this week. I pray that His grace shines thru you as you show others the love that has been shown to you. Be generous. Love hard. and Give thanks. Its what Jesus would do.
It really is the most wonderful time of the year.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
